connected.

time for my one little word for how i want to be - may edition.

may's word: connected.

connected to my knowing self.

connected to nature, as we experience our final approach into summertime.

connected to my body - in terms of both fitness & sexuality.

connected to my sweet husband - in more ways than one [nudge nudge, wink wink].

connected to my tween-y daughter - as she transitions from elementary school to middle school.

connected to my young son - as he switches schools.

connected to my extended families - both first & birth.

connected to my amazing circle of dear girlfriends.

connected to my passions.

connected to my courage.

connected to play.

connected to creativity.

connected to the universe & whatever it has to offer me.

connected to my senses.

connected to my here & now.

clear.

time for my one little word for how i want to be - april edition.

april's word: clear.

clear of clutter.

clear about my weight.

clear about my money.

clear about who's in control of both.

clear of stuff we don't need or love.

clear of stuff that doesn't feed me.

clearing to make room for quiet spaces.

for slowing down.

for passionate work.

for creativity, learning, more clearing.

clear about priorities.

clear about potential regrets.

clear about challenges, strengths & resources.

clear about what's best for me, for my life.

clearing the way for it.

open.

Following a February respite, my Twelve [eleven??] Little Words concept returns - a new how-I-want-to-be word every month to meditate and reflect upon.

March's word: open.

open heart.

open mind.

open spirit.

open to the Universe & whatever it has to offer.

open to acceptance.

open to love, regardless of whether or not I believe it's deserved.

open to letting go.

open to forgiveness.

open to playfulness.

open to new perspectives.

open to new ways.

open to new challenges.

open to different.

open without judgment.

open to help.

open to helping.

open, sesame.

full.

So I've been mulling & mulling [yes, just like cider] my "one little word" for 2010 - a concept from life artist Ali Edwards of choosing a single word to represent what you want for yourself for the year - and seriously can't seem to hit upon the right one.

Past years' words: 2007 - embrace; 2008 - rest [an utter bust, by the way]; 2009 - connect.

So I'm considering not going with a verb, moving away from what I want to do and toward what I want to be. Existential, eh?

Still, I can't seem to come down to a single word.

So I'm thinking about trying to come up with a new word every month to meditate and reflect upon. What the hey - let's give it a go:

January's word: full.

a full life.

full of life.

full of energy.

full of the moment.

full of breath.

full of intention.

full of gratitude.

full of grace.

full of seeking.

full of understanding.

full of bold experiences.

full of strong connections.

full of movement.

full of purpose.

full of optimism.

full of joy.

a full heart.
